Lavis
"Lavis" is an old french technique that I have learned in my early artistic years from the Hungarian Master Laszlo Leslie Schalk, a disciple of Matisse. I have always been fascinated by this unique way to approach art and express myself freely in black and white. "Lavis" comes from "lavage" or in English washed-ink.
As the ink starts spreading, I have to be quick in stopping the spreading of the ink to organize my composition.
‘It is very creative, no time to think, that's what I like. I have to follow the intuitive decisions coming from my soul therefore bringing sometimes amazing texture to enrich my work.’
